It’s Beginning to Feel a Lot Like Christmas
With my birthday over, we are now allowed to start getting into the Christmas Spirit, so we made the most of it on Saturday. First we went to see Santa in his underground grotto at King Arthur’s Labyrinth.
There can’t be many Santa’s Grotto’s around the country where you have to wear a hard hat to see him, but after putting on our hard hats we followed an elf into the mines and onto a boat. We then had a magical boat journey underground past various lights, under a waterfall and into a cavern. After a little bit of a walk through some more passages we found the big man himself, sat in a grotto surrounded by fairy lights and presents.
The children went to have a chat with him whilst the adults were provided with punch by the elves. Morgan was a little shy to start with but he did at least talk to Santa and was given a good present that he has played with ever since.
There are quite a few different places to see Santa around here and going somewhere like this, or the Tal y Llyn railway is so much nicer (for us) than going to a department store and queuing for hours to be hustled in by a grumpy elf !

We then spent the rest of day buying a Christmas Tree and putting up all of the lights and decorations whilst listening to Carols. It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
