Ceredigion Moths – Best Catch Yet
Everything looked good for the moth trap last night, so I put it out with high hopes of a good catch. I put it a few metres away from the normal spot, next to a flowering lilac and Ceanothus and then spent some time sat out there as the light faded. There were plenty of moths about at dusk and one or two entered the trap. By the morning there was a whole trapful to go through. 98 moths, 37 different species, and 12 new to me.
