What a Scorcher
Just as we were getting ready for winter and getting used to the cold, grey, windy autumnal weather we’d been having, September has thrown us a bit of a surprise. I don’t think it counts as an Indian Summer quite yet as the official definition is a period of seven days or more occurring after the autumnal equinox where the temperature reaches 21°C (70°F) or more, but today has certainly been a scrocher.
In fact with a maximum temperature recorded by the Both & Ynyslas Weather Station so far today of 26.3ºC it has been the hottest day of the year.
I couldn’t resist getting out on my bike for a 50 mile spin through the hills in the sunshine and it looks as though we’ll be getting the BBQ out for one last time at the weekend. Hooray, Summer’s back for a few days!
