Summer continues and the flowers are loving it. The garden is full of life, the water butts are running dry and the pots need constant watering. It is nice to have a proper summer for a change though, the last time we had one was about 10 years ago when we were building the house. We can remember having to water the concrete of the raft foundations in order to stop it drying out too quickly and sitting in camp chairs outside our temporary static caravan home while the house was built. It did of course mean that work on the house progressed well, but that was definitely the last time we had a prolonged period of really nice weather.
It’s strange to think back to that bare plot of land and then look at the garden now and see how things have changed.
Must admit it does look different!!
