The Journey Behind “A Thousand Mile Run”

I’ve published my first book: A Thousand Mile Run

Almost 400 pages full of photos showcasing the best Wales has to offer.

Long before my heart attack, the journey of A Thousand Mile Run had already begun. It started as a challenge—one that would take me across some of the most beautiful landscapes Wales has to offer. But what I didn’t realise at the time was just how many obstacles would stand in my way.

Endurance events always come with hurdles: injuries, other commitments, the unpredictability of life. But nothing tested me more than the global pandemic and, ultimately, my unexpected heart attack. That moment changed everything. It forced me to question whether I would ever be able to finish what I had started. For someone who thrived on pushing limits, the uncertainty was crushing.

Yet, A Thousand Mile Run isn’t just about setbacks—it’s about overcoming them. It’s about resilience, persistence, and adapting to the unexpected. Completing this journey meant finding new ways forward, learning to listen to my body, and redefining success.

3-in-1: A Story book, A Guide book and a Photo book too

This book is more than just a running story. It’s almost 400 pages of adventure, struggle, and triumph, showcasing some of the best that Wales has to offer. It’s packed with photos that capture the beauty of the journey, the highs and lows, and the incredible places that became a part of my story. More than that, it serves as a guidebook for anyone wanting to follow in my footsteps and as a motivational piece for those looking to add some adventure to their life.

Writing this book has been its own endurance test—full of challenges, doubts, and determination. But now, it’s finally here, and I’m thrilled to share it with you.

If you love stories of perseverance, breathtaking landscapes, and the sheer unpredictability of life, I hope my ‘personal journey around Wales and through life’ resonates with you.
