Our Juniper Finally Has a ‘Forever Home’
I’ve been growing this juniper for about 20 years. It started off as a tiny little plant with no real place to call home. Over the years, I moved it a couple of times to temporary spots—always with the intention of giving it a proper location, but somehow never quite getting around to it.
Now it’s a fair-sized beast and was long overdue a space where it could really shine. So, we’ve finally given it a forever home: a classy (and, yes, slightly extravagant) pot that now takes pride of place on the patio.
It doesn’t take kindly to being moved, though, and in the excitement, I forgot to mix a good helping of sand into the compost—something it usually appreciates. I just hope the upheaval hasn’t traumatised it too much. It’s now adjusting to its new compost and the slightly exposed position on the patio. Only time will tell if it approves. Fingers crossed!
